A modern, post-war inappropriate shopfront constructed using cheap materials and in complete contrast with the rest of the building.
The Brief
Remove the existing modern shopfront and design an appropriate historic reinstatement in accordance with the available historic evidence and the relevant historic design principles.
The design
Conception Architects designed an appropriate reinstatement whose scale and design matched the history of the building.
