The shopfront before
An inappropriate modern shopfront on one of the main roads through Sleaford, the overly large recess and use of brick pilasters and poor materials had resulted in a shopfront that did not appreciate the property’s history.
The Brief
Remove the existing shopfront and damaged modern timber panels to the underside of the 1st floor oriel window and reinstate all historic details.
The design
What has resulted is a historic shopfront designed in conjunction with a suitable historic photo, and a repaired and reinstated timber panel to oriel window.
