Since its creation Conception has been involved in a number of conservation projects at all levels, ranging from the restoration and reuse of grade I, II* and II list- ed buildings for private clients to the collaboration with various Local Authorities and English Heritage on the setting up and management of Conservation and Repair Schemes.

We are well respected within the heritage community. Conception follows the internationally recognized preservation principles as inscribed in the charters and has been responsible for heritage significance statements, intervention guidelines, and feasibility and reuse studies, as well as building conservation.

The proven attention to details and the constant practical approach that we have shown in Derby has been achieved by working closely with the conservation team, the applicants and their agents, as well as by regular site visits once the work has commenced to constant liaising with the con- tractors.

We have produced information materials and guidelines as well as promotional material to adver- tise the scheme.
In the last years we have been appointed as project officer for an existing PSiCAs scheme and a Shopfront Improvement scheme already in their second year of existence following the resigna- tion of the previous project officer.
