The Shot Tower was constructed in approximately 1932 and was designed by Browning and Hayes
Architects and Surveyors.The shopfront on the Albert Street aspect has been replaced in the last 20/30 years and the only surviving elements are the polished concrete stall riser and the terrazzo ramp. The proposal brought forward by Irene was to repair the stall riser and reinstate the original shopfront as informed by the surviving one next door in a way that ensured continuity between the two principal aspects and the building’s original appearance.
